Rev. Philip Buck was born in the Western Municipality of Sierra Leone to a peaceful Christian family at No 16 Leaden Hall Street, Kissy, Freetown. He went to Good Sheppard Primary School and later attended the Government Independent Memorial Secondary where he exhibited his talent by playing School League competition for his Secondary School in 1988-89. Basically, after Secondary School he further pursue his Educational Callings to a Biblical studies starting from Freetown Bible Training Center ( FBTC) with a certificate, he later went to pursue his college studies with the word of Faith Bible Institute and Worrprade University where he attained his Masters in Divinity and Doctorate in Missiology.
His football trenches are as follows:
- He started the Victory Evangelistic Ministry on the 25TH November, 1999 as general overseer, he also continue to acquired Two (2) Primary and One Secondary School as Proprietor within the Kissy and Allen Town.
- With his Football Managerial skills he was able to register the Victory Evangelistic Ministry Football Club as a member with the Western Area Football Association in the year2008.
- With his tremendous contributions to Footballing in the Western Area, Pastor Philip Buck was voted as the Vice Chairman For the Western Area Football Association (WAFA), referencing the statue of the Western Area Football Association and in 2018, after the death of the substantive Chairman Mr. Foday Turay (May his soul rest in perfect peace) passed away I was as enshrine took the mantle of the substantive chairman of the Western Area Football Association (WAFA) that gave me the constitutional mandate to represent the biggest constituency at the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) as an Executive member. Pastor Philip Buck became an Executive member of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) in 2018.
